Hi – This is for the story - time challenge – This is the oldest piece in my collection and I just happened to get it. It was in the museum at the miniature store in Orlando at Ron’s miniatures… the museum is gone and the pieces went up for sale – this one was covered in dust when I saw it – when I got home I called and asked them to hold it.
Richard had cleaned off the dust when I went to pick it up and Ron told me it’s story. It is one of Colleen Moore’s earliest pieces. The animals are made from pussy willows - I am guessing its app 80+ years old and is in remarkable condition.
Someday I hope it gets reunited with the fairy castle on display in Chicago – as much as I treasure it – they need to be together. Read about Collen via Google the castle is beyond words.
When I went to make the page I gave myself some rules before I got started – similar to a 30 minute challenge with no time constraints…
Use a font that you saw in the gallery that works for your title. I thought Amy's page had the font I needed(link below) Do something for the mini photo album book and use things you added to the stash in October – no new purchases – reward to me - shopping this weekend at Ron’s store. Fyi I went digital shopping – I needed the perfect color paper and Joanne had used it(link below) I'm still going shopping at Rons on Saturday!
For those of you that do more historical pages is the circa 1930 – 194o the correct way to do it…??? This one is extra important to me….
