In May 2012, we went to Genoa Italy. There really wasn’t much in particular we wanted to see there but being on the sea was important in my mind. We didn’t have a car this time but did have plans to go to Cinque Terre. However, there had been very heavy rains so the National Park of the Cinque Terre was closed. Bummer. We looked at the maps & checked the local buses & realized we could go to Nervi, a similar area with few tourists via the #17 bus, according to our landlord Guido. The views along the Anita Garibaldi walk in Nervi were all we could have hoped for. We had perfect weather, a lunch of fresh hot focaccia, and bus rides thru coastal seaside towns for a lot of people watching. We already had the ‘excitement’ of a small earthquake in Genoa so this calm day was perfecto! just as this view was. Ah, Italia...I’m so glad to have this photo to remember your beauty.
