Journalling:
When Buster was first rescued at six weeks old and we decided yes we would keep this kitty he was so very needy. Lost, abandoned with his litter mates, his mamma cat goodness knows where, but he trusted us, right from the start, we would bottle feed him, cuddle him, show him he would be loved with us. And I would sing to him every day ‘The Owl and the Pussy-cat’. He would lay on my chest feeling my heart beat and soft singing words and he would go to sleep with his head at my neck. Actually Mike said my off-tune singing put him into a coma, but we won’t go there. Even now I’m sure he remembers that. Every now and then when he goes to curl up on my lap and if I start singing the Owl and the Pussy-cat, there is a remembrance there, and he adopts the pose, against my chest and nuzzling my neck and knowing this is home.
