Family is heavy on my mind right now. We are rapidly approaching the date of our 2022 Sack Family Reunion. Most of us there are the descendants of Philipp Wilhelm Sack (1734 - 1813). Several of his many children immigrated to Texas in the mid-1800s. My line is descended from his 9th child, Adolphine Charlotte Otillie Sack who married married Arnold Ploeger. I have always admired her spirit. At 64 years old, she packed all her belongings and moved to Texas to join her children who had immigrated before her. Pictured here (top to bottom) are Adolphine Ploeger, Emilie Schumann, Ellen Reichmann, Emmy Rogers and Elinor Houston with younger brother Herbert Rogers.
