Happy New Year everyone! We have had visitors the past few weeks and life has been crazy busy but now it's time to get back into routine! I always love to do a New Year summary kind of page but something I should have added to my journaling was I need to change how bad we are at getting family photos! HA! ;)

Journaling: This year is absolutely going to be a year of transition and change. I am not someone who typically likes a lot change but I know these changes are coming and I am 100% determined to be ready for them! 2023 might just be the year I am pushed to change how I respond to change! HA!
This year is Lincoln’s final year of primary school. There will be a lot of change and transitions at school for him this year. He handles change about as well as I do but we are determined to make the transition to high school as smooth as possible for him. Xxxxxx has been such a wonderful school for him and a lot of growth has happened there. We want the change to Xxxxxxx to be a positive experience!
Poppy has decided to add a musical instrument to her extra curricular activities this year. She is learning trombone and continuing to participate in the school robotics team. So there will be lots of change as she adjusts to her new schedule but I am proud of her eagerness to always try new things. Linc received his much longed for electric guitar for Christmas so I am expecting to add music lessons to his schedule as well once he is ready!
Dylan and I are focused solely on changing the house this year. We did a lot of maintenance stuff last year but we have a few big ticket items we want to tackle in 2023. The patio needs a re-build and our retaining walls and fencing is nearing the end of their life. It will give our garden a much needed face lift as well and considering how much time we spend outside, we can’t wait!
I have no lofty goals or resolutions this year other than to be happy and healthy and I don’t typically pick a word each year but the word ‘heal’ is front and centre in my mind these days. I have a lot of things in place to help me do just that (body, mind and soul) and it all begins in a few weeks. This means some big changes and challenges are necessary. I’m nervously excited and quietly optimistic. What will be, will be and I’m here for it all!
