Dick has always loved Alaska where his sister & brother in law lived for many years homesteading. He fished there for many years. When we got married, he was so so anxious to take me there. I really didn’t care much but I did want to see a glacier. I got that chance & he got a photo that looked as if I was afraid of it! Payback was my pic of Dick & the toy bears.
While I never returned to AK, he decided to take each grandchild when they were around 14. He introduced a lot of East Coast kids to the state & they each had a chance to fish for salmon & halibut. The first to go turns 28 this week! God willing, Dick will take the last of the grandchildren and a great-grandchild in 2023.
