Tradition

After a month of chaos, so happy to be journaling a winter tradition:
Just listen...feel...smell. Winter’s coming. And with the winter, they come. The first ones show up around Thanksgiving with up to 200 more drifting in over the next few weeks. They do not come silently. Indeed, they are loud and proud, honking through the skies as if to remind me that it is time for my winter tradition. Grab my camera. Grab Baby - the 600-millimeter lens that weighs as much as a small child. Head to the water before the sun comes up to catch the best light. Does it get any better?
