Story Scrapbook Challenge : Passions and Causes

Carol here bringing you another Story Scrapbook Challenge.  This month I want to talk about passions and causes and I’d love you to document that which is closest to you and shine a light if you will.

Do you volunteer for a charity?  Have you raised awareness for a cause?  Do you help at a soup kitchen?  Do you give coin to someone down on their luck on the streets?  Do you help shop for an elderly neighbour?  Do you raise money for charity organisations?  Do you fight for injustice?  Have you protested for a cause?  Do you give of yourself to help others at hospitals or church?  Do you donate your time at the school tuck shop?  Do you volunteer at the lost dogs home?  Do you foster animals? Do you volunteer? Has something touched you so deeply you give of yourself to help?

I want to know what the passion in your heart is, where you give of yourself to help others, where you stand up for a cause, where your humanity is directed.  I’m so excited to read your stories, and such an important story to add to your family memories.

Addie put her hand up so quickly and oh my goodness if you’re going to give of yourself what a way to do it, I’m in awe.  Her passion is to help the animals by saving and fostering and she shares some of the stories, including that she is inspired by her cousin who works with animal rescue.  All those beautiful babies that just want to be loved and cared for.  Go Addie!  And just quietly how amazing is Bentley’s smile compared to that ‘before’ pic.  That’s what it’s all about.

And for my page I document the year I set a goal to run 1000 kilometres using that as a vessel to raise money for the Brain Foundation throughout the year, in memory of my dad who passed of a brain disease.  Every dollar counts when raising money for charity and they are extremely grateful for every day people to assist in any which way they can.
