Hi.  Shannon (shannonroller) here and welcome to the first Saturday Scraplift for August.  We will be lifting Stacia this week.

Choose Well

I loved this layout as soon as Stacia posted it.  Love the color scheme she chose but especially love the masterful layering and the terrific title work with the Scrabble tile alpha.

The Creative Team has put together a few layouts to show their takes on lifting this wonderful layout.

First up, one of our Guest CT members, Monica (mosbaskets), with this layout of a turtle she spotted while walking along a lake.  She took on the inspiration of the Scrabble tile title and the wire hanger/screw combo.  Love the pop of teal, the framing and the little turtle and binocular elements to go with her photos.

Julie (Maggie Mae) used the inspiration of the layered wordart and elements across the page and a black and white photo.  She used that great wire alpha for a unique title.  She also included such pretty background paper for that adorable photo of her twin granddaughters.

I chose to use this photo of the Point Atkinson Lighthouse for my lift.  It was one of the first photos I took on our Alaska cruise a few years ago.  The beauty of British Columbia (and the promise of Alaska) showed herself to us almost immediately after we set sail.  The new Vintage Seas products were perfect to use with this photo.  I took my inspiration from all the layering that Stacia did as well as the wire hanger for the photo frame.

I hope that Stacia’s layout or those of the Creative Team inspire you to create a page and participate in this week’s Saturday Scraplift.  Be sure to post your pages in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and August Challenge Participation Sign-in Thread to receive credit toward a coupon to use in the KPD Store.

Have a great weekend and thanks for spending it with us at Katie Pertiet Designs!
