Saturday Scraplift: Chevron Mania

Don’t you just love these new chevron frame layers Katie has created? They certainly inspired this week’s Saturday Scraplift when I saw Erin’s darling page featuring her adorable daughter Sophie with her baby pumpkin. I really liked the design and her expert use of brush work. Jana and Liz, two of my fellow Creative Team members, joined me in lifting Erin’s page. Here’s how we were inspired:

Erin’s page

Jana (jana) created a glorious page celebrating fall – look at that spectacular leaf! Her brush work complements her theme and colors beautifully, and I love how the twist and flairs unite her photo and title work. Such a pleasing page!

Liz’s (lizziet5) page is so quintessentially Liz: the colors, the brush work, the twist. I also really like how she made the design her own by rotating and rearranging the frames. If I didn’t know better, I’d say Upstairs at Anna’s designed its establishment with Liz in mind!

I went with a much more mundane theme for my page, an idea that had been percolating in my brain for a few days. I’m somewhat brush- and blending-challenged, so it was fun to go a little wild in that department. I blended one of Katie’s new ARToptions papers and then just kept layering the brushes.

There’s no end to the inspiration in Erin’s page, and I hope you’ll play along this week in lifting her. Remember to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as in the November Challenges Participation Sign in thread. Happy scrapping!
