Saturday Scraplift: A Cute Angle

Hi all! It’s Amy L bringing you this week’s Saturday Scraplift. This week we’ll be lifting this colorful page by Anke:

Here in the US we recently celebrated our country’s 250th birthday, and the celebrations were numerous and wonderful. The perfect subject for a scrapbook page! Anke’s page documents a patriotic day unique to her state; we have a similar day in our little town. The chippy paper background looks awesome, especially divided into quadrants. It makes the perfect backdrop for the solo photo, and that bold title is great. My very favorite thing about this page is the slant. The angle of the background adds interest and movement which is a fitting complement to the flag photo. Our Creative Team had some ideas for this one, and I’m excited to show you what they put together.

First up is Addie, who made a completely adorable page! This little one is named Maple, the cutest name ever. I am so in love with how Addie made this challenge her own. She let a template help with the angled design, incorporating those cool sections from the inspiration page. The patterned papers and fun colors are the perfect foil for the sweet photos. Fabulous!

Supplies Addie used:  Photo Clusters 69, Tidewater Scrapbooking Collection, Photo Grids 12×12 Layered Templates 08, Scribbled Overlays 04, Textured Whites Paper Pack 02.

Next up is Sherry, who also used a patriotic theme. The striking photos are so much fun in the diamond shaped design. I love the elements and papers too! What a great lift.

Supplies Sherry used: Americana Paper 2, Americas 250 Stamps, Watchet Solids Paper, Americana Country Paper, Striping Masks 3, Astro Little Charms, Pinned Enamel Stars 1.

I also love how Rache was inspired. She incorporated the colors in Anke’s page as well as the sharp black keylines. The photo just couldn’t be any sweeter. The three diamond shapes are set off beautifully by the flower cluster. Just lovely!

Supplies Rache used: Old Glory Garden Paper Pack, Red White and Bloom Ephemera Blends, Vintage Mini Mix 16, Flower Press, Vintage Artistry Essentials Scrapbooking Bundle.

I really enjoyed giving this one a go. I recently attended my 50 (!) year high school reunion, and I was fortunate enough to have my photo taken with my best buddies. These are the ones that still have your back after 5 decades. I definitely wanted to remember the event! There were so many crazy colors in this photo that I decided a black and white version would work best. I chose the bound paper to allude to the school theme, turned it a bit, and plopped down my photo. After a few embellishments and lines, it was done! Thanks Anke!

Supplies I used: America’s 250 Stamp Pack, Artoptions Mini Mix 28, Botanical Bliss Scrapbooking Kit 01, Bound Paper Pack 02, Watery Blumes 06.

I hope you’re now encouraged to dive in on this challenge! Please post your pages in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge gallery. And add them to the July Challenge Participation thread. Enjoy your scrapping!
