ABCs of You, Me, and Us

This month, the challenge will feature the letters M and N. As a reminder, each month we use two letters of the alphabet (3 in November and December) as the inspiration for a page about You (your spouse/partner, family member or special friend), Me (yourself),or Us (you and your spouse/partner/ family member/members, or friend/friends). You can create one page with either letter, one page using both letters, or an individual page for each letter. I have a list of words below that begin with M and a list that begin with N, but feel free to go with any idea you come up with. Katie has provided a freebie for us to use. Of course using the freebie isn’t a requirement of participating in the challenge.

Team members have created a variety of layouts — humorous, scenic, and family traditions. Some of us are creating individual layouts for albums, others are putting together an entire ABC album. Be sure to visit the ABCs of You, Me, and Us gallery to see the variety of pages through the first six months of the year with pages for A-L.

First off is Guest Creative Team Member Sherry (digi371) with her fun layout all about her girls’ enjoyment of board games 15 years ago when they were staying at a state park.

For her layout Sherry used Far and Wide Dots and Stripes Paper Pack, Partial Page Masks 08, Doodledo Photo Frames 10, Doodledo Photo Frames 12 Brushes and Stamps, Fine Line Twists Brushes and Stamps 02, Botanical Christmas 01 Element Pack, Clock Parts 07, Game Cards Birthday, Page Starters Ephemera, Metal Clip Assortment 03, and Frame Hangers 01.

Guest Creative Team Member, Rachel (rache77) created this humorous page, and the photo tells the story of funny antics.

For her layout Rachel used Painted Filmstrips 02, Naturally Krafty 14 Paper Pack, Layered Bookshelf Overlays 01, Nothing More Brushes and Stamps, Black, White, and Plum Kit, and CuteĀ  Mini Mix 01.

Next, Creative Team Member Stacia is a master at multi-photo layouts. This one is about North Carolina and a move into a new house for her son and his wife.

For her layout Stacia used Layer Works 2591 and Kitlets Solids Paper Pack 06. I love how a late (or a mashup of a couple templates) can make these layouts so much easier.

And, finally, I, Valerie (nana_vg) made this layout about our youngest granddaughter who’s now finished her freshman year in college. She’s always been so determined to do things by herself. I wouldn’t call her stubborn, but she doesn’t easily give up when tackling something new.

For my layout I used the freebie (letter M), Big Picture Vol. 11 Layered Template 10, Dreamy Paper Pack 09.

I hope you’re inspired to play along whether you make a page using one of the letters, both of the letters, or one for each letter. Be sure to download this month’s freebies. I look forward to seeing your amazing pages in the ABC of You, Me and Us Challenge Gallery. Also be sure to post your layout in the July Challenges participation thread to earn your store rewards. Trace will be back with you for next month’s letters O and P. I will see you again in September.
