Let’s Blend Scrapbook Challenge

Welcome to June’s Let’s Blend Challenge.
This month,I thought it would be fun to create and artsy background with paint, splatters and brushes. The key to this is to just let yourself go and place the brushes as if you were actually painting on a canvas. There is no wrong way to do it. For my page below, I used the watery grid as an anchor place for the photos, and then just added different paint and brushes to the page. Duplicating a brush a few times and placing it around the page creates a cohesive look. In addition to the freebie that Katie has provided, I used the following items from the store: Lightly Linens No. 1, Canvas Book No. 1, Dalese Element Pack. I added a threshold adjustment layer to the photo and then lightly blended in another at the bottom.
I hope you give this artsy technique a try, and just have fun with it. You can use all or some of the products Katie has generously provided in the freebie pack. Remember to post your pages in the Mask Appeal Challenge Gallery and link up your page in the June Challenge Participation Thread for proper credit.
