Let’s Blend Challenge

Hello, this is Joanne, bringing you the Let’s Blend Challenge for March. The Spill Frame Layers with filmstrips are a favorite of mine, and I thought it might be fun to play with them this month. They can be used as is, or be flipped around and used as a background to your photos also. Two of our Guest CT members helped me out with some wonderful examples, and Katie has provided a freebie for us to get started on our layouts.
Jane (Jane_Bond7) created a striking beachy page. She flipped the mask horizontally, and blended two papers together to create her background paper. I love the contrast of the paper with the orange in the sunset. Here are the products she used: Canvas Colors 3, Blendable Layered Template 62, Classic Cardstock oyster Paper Pack, Spill Frame Layers 7, Layer works 1303, Sequins Scatters Sky, Deelen Element Pack, iTunes Freebie Splatter, Spill Frame Layers 35.
Penny (pennyh) created a gorgeous page featuring flowers from her garden last spring. The photo fits perfectly into the mask and her embellishment completes her page. Here are the products she used: ARToptions Rouge Paper Pack 01, ARToptions Rouge Layered Clusters Spill Frame Layers 35
For my page, I started with a photo I took from the airplane, flipped the mask vertically, and recolored the filmstrip. Here are the products used to create a travel type page: Vintage Artistry Everywhere Paper Pack 2, Vintage Artistry Everywhere Transfers 2, Vintage Artistry Everywhere Ephemera, Vintage Artistry Everywhere Transfers 4, Pencil Line Twists 2, Ledger Grids Brushes and Stamps 4, Spill Frame Layers 35.
I hope you can participate in the challenge this month and I look forward to seeing your work in the Gallery.
Please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the March 2025 Challenge Participation Thread to earn store rewards.
Happy Blending!
Joanne
