iTunes: Say it with words

Hi and welcome to March’s iTunes challenge. I love this time of year, the weather is improving, the birds are singing and flowers start to appear. Means I can spend time scrapping while looking out at the garden in the sunshine.

For this month’s album cover, I’ve chosen a monochromatic theme with text background. This is a versatile cover. I can see people being inspired by the grey background, which can make many colours pop. I also love a textured background paper, whether it’s stone or wood effect. Then there are many large text brushes in the store to add emphasis.  I asked members of the creative team to be inspired and they didn’t disappoint.

First up is Shannon, with this lovely nature page. I love the textured brushwork and fun photo effect. The combination of word styles for the title add interest.  Shannon used Cottage Fields Papers 02; Cottage Fields Blendable Layers; Cutting Files Merging Statements 03; Watercolor Page Titles 17;

Next up is Nana_vg who created a fun page about home. I love the light background, the detailed journalling, and the use of the flower over the O in Home.

She used Vintage Photo Frames 36; Canvas Color Mix Paper pack 18; Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit 35

Patsy (ptabbert) creates lovely art with her scrapbook pages, so it was no surprise to see a page filled with texture from her. I want to reach out and touch the rocks here.

Patsy used Destination Quotes Brushes and Stamps 01; Textured Canvas: Neutrals Paper Pack;; Blendable Layers 11

Finally I couldn’t resist joining in! After nearly 3 months of remote learning, my boy returned to the classroom on the 15th March. He was nervous, but so happy to see his friends.

  I used Watery photo masks 11; lake lodge solids paper pack; strip sentiment stacks 01; textured photo masks 01 bundle; school mates kit; school rules scrapbook kit; Dictionary blendables: school 01; whimsy words 05

Now it’s your turn. Show us how you’re inspired by this month’s album cover. Katie has generously provided a freebie here. Post your pages in the iTunes inspiration gallery so we can leave some love. Remember to keep track of your challenge pages containing all Katie Pertiet Design products to earn store discount by posting in the March participation thread

Happy scrapping!
