Color challenge – cosy pinks

Hi, and welcome to the color challenge for September! The weather is turning here, getting chillier. Ah, who am I kidding, in Scotland it’s been a bit rainy most of the summer. 

But it’s now getting to the time when I don’t mind turning on the heating and spending time with a cup of tea and my laptop to scrap. 

I love the pinks in this inspiration photo, they make me think of a cosy farmhouse setting, with maybe a fire in the background and a cat waiting to jump on top of whatever you’re working on.

I love the pages created by our Creative Team for this challenge. First up is Carol (Carolee) who created this gorgeous anniversary page for her and her husband. The whole page is so elegant, and I love the subtle brushwork in the background, as well as the story!

Next up is Linda (earlofoxford), with this great page about a family thanksgiving. She used the colours well to convey the warmth of time spent together for a special meal like this. I love the design of this page, with the masked photo and torn pages framing the central photos.

I (kikimama) went back through photos of my kids and found this one from 2013, a moment of them being cute together (you should see the photos on either side of this one!) and went with natural materials as my choice of elements to complement the softness of the photo and palette.
