Journaling: It has been a long, long time since exercise brought a smile like this to my face. Even before my neck issues got worse, I was not enjoying my workouts. I was in constant pain, not recovering and fast approaching a physical brick wall. And I hit that brick wall like a freight train. I was exhausted and every part of my body hurt. I needed a break. For almost 6 months all I have been able to handle is a 45 min walk every 2 days. Anything more than that resulted in not being able to move my head, pain and a numb arm. The past few weeks though I have felt good after my walks. I’ve had energy and felt like I could do more. So recently I have added some very light weight exercise back in. I only do it 1-2 times a week and I’m easing back in very slowly. I feel like my old self. I feel alive. The smile is real!
Goals:
#1: Get this neck fixed! I’m still very impatiently waiting to see a surgeon...
#2: Movement without pain and getting these muscles moving again!
#3: Workouts that don’t require days to recover from! This has to change!
Oh boy I hear you! When a page takes days and days, it gets frustrating. This one looks to be worth the wait though. It's gorgeous, and I can tell that you put a lot of work into it. p.s. I love seeing your smiling face.
