My DS and DDIL endured several setbacks prior to the wedding. I wanted to record that story. I was so proud of them for keeping it together despite all the obstacles that got thrown up that threatened their happy day. I shared this with the bride before posting it here and it brought her to tears but I meant every word of it about how proud I was of her and how she handled all the upset she had to go through. I love that Bill officiated for them, that is so special! It's an important story, but the point that resonates is that it's the marriage that matters, not the wedding. And so true that if they weathered all those hurdles, it is a good sign for their marriage! I am loving your wedding pages, keep them coming! This worked nicely with the masked notebook paper running down the side to give you room to tell the background story.
This is just wonderful journaling, Shannon. I really know how you feel as we have had similar challenges in our family. So so happy the wedding came off ok and I sure hope her parents are better. Lovely page; your album will be so beautiful!
You are so wise to document the back story leading up to this wedding. I am happy for you and the young couple that the wedding was able to be held. It must have been a very meaningful ceremony.
