I’ve always enjoyed seeing little traits of previous generations in the kids and now some of those mannerisms are coming through in the grandkids. (Great) Ouma Mabel used to stand with her hands behind her back when she was watching the action, checking out whatever was going on around her with great interest. And here’s Ayla, having already perfected the stance at 16 months, watching what everyone else is doing down by the waves. Her Mama used to do this too. If ever there was a hand-me-down I love, this is the one.
