Our first spring living in the woods has been interesting so far! I saw this pretty pink flower in the distance and went up for a closer look at the plant. As it is tall, I researched my native plant guide thinking it was a flowering tree. I couldn't find it and went back and looked again. I realized it's a deciduous native azalea! I have had cultivated azaleas for many years, but I don't think I've ever seen one wild in the woods!
