After we arrived in Split, Croatia Wednesday afternoon we settled in to the apartment we rented that was located just outside the Diocletian Palace walls. After settling in we set out to wander a bit and grabbed some lunch on the Riva Promenade before our scheduled 6pm walking tour. We were only in Split for a day and a half (Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday) so we made a point of seeing all that we could. We of course explored Diocletian’s Palace which was very cool and wandered the Riva Promenade. I think the highlight of our time in Split for Scott, and likely Lauren too, was the Green Market. I too always enjoy markets but for me I think I enjoyed seeing things with new eyes as I had spent a day here in 2013 when I was on a cruise with my mom and sisters. I think it’s fun experiencing places again with different people. Our time in Split was a whirlwind and we really enjoyed it. Friday morning Scott was heading back home and Lauren and I were heading to Greece to continue our travels so we made the most of the last of our time together.
