Villa Romana Des Casale is located in Piazza Armerina, Sicily. It is is vast and elaborate Roman Villa, or palace. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient villa houses 3500 square meters of mosaic floors. They are very intricate and truly amazing to see. There is also an extraordinary collection of frescoes that covered both the interior rooms and the exterior walls. The site dates back to the early 4th century AD.
