Journaling: I always say that once we hit October that the rest of the year just flies by. The final term of the school year seems like it only lasts a few weeks and the before we know it, the kids are on Summer holidays. This year feels different though. This year, September absolutely flew by in the blink of an eye and I feel like we are barrelling towards Christmas. The stores already have Christmas stuff out and this year it overwhelms me. Life is good right now and I am in no rush. I want to enjoy the Spring days more and slow down. So here are just a few little random bits of right now. The days are fun. The weather is perfect. I want to enjoy it a little more.
1. Our term 2 school holidays were spent with me very sick with covid. I was determined that our school holidays for term 3 would be much better. The past couple of weeks we’ve been to the movies, out for lunches and breakfast, visited Nana and Pa, had fun with cousins, been on walks and to the park, done lots of craft activities and also just chilled. It has been quiet and fun break before we tackle term 4!
2. We were at Xxxxxx when we saw they had purple reaper chilli plants. We have never seen a reaper before so Dylan wanted it even though the fruit will never be eaten! Just the scent it gives off is enough to slap you in the face - it’s very impressive!
3. The sunsets continue to be a mix of beautiful oranges, pinks and reds. I just love this time of year! The garden always looks it’s best in Spring before the crazy summer heat gets going. The mornings and evenings are perfectly cool and the day times are warm. It has been a cooler start to Spring, but the late afternoon sky makes up for it!
