Feeling really rather pleased that I appear to be a tad more organised than I normally am this close to an overseas trip. Outfits have been planned - for a change. Foreign currency has been collected - always a top priority! And Percy Pigs, Colin the Caterpillars and Jaffa Cakes have been picked up. Now I just need to go through my cupboard and get packing!
For the life of me, I simply cannot fathom the level of commitment, the strong drive, and dedication, and the sheer determination that Hayley and Dewald managed to pull together to achieve the completion of their first triathlon in Langebaan this weekend. I just don’t know if I would have the means to dig so, so deep to come up with all that’s required in reaching such success. To all those geographically closer to them, those that have supported them both, I thank you. We’re so incredibly proud that they achieved what they set out to do... huge congrats guys!
More than a few times over the last few weeks, I’ve toyed with rejoining the gym. Deep down I know I won’t, for a number of reasons. One, my work hours can be all over the place at times and I need routine. Two, I’d only be joining to run on the treadmill when I have a prom to run along. Three, I seriously couldn’t take the music. Yes, I can channel my own but I can’t help tuning into the duff, duff, duff, that drives me crazy. And finally four. I really don’t want to spend the money but at least the thought is there!
