Scott and I wanted to come up with the perfect gift for Lauren for her college graduation. We wanted something that would be meaningful and that she would hopefully want to keep forever. That’s a lot of pressure. Knowing her passion for travel, I did some searching to find a timeless travel themed gift. I was absolutely thrilled when I found someone who made custom globes. A custom globe! What could be better and more meaningful for Lauren?! I had the artist include her name and two of her favorite sayings, one on the base of the globe and one on the legend. It was perfect. I admit, I was nervous when we gave it to her. What if she didn’t react the way I hoped? I needn’t have worried. She was thrilled.
Lauren quickly pinned all the places she’d been to so far and it looks pretty cool already. I can’t wait to see what it’s going to look like when she pins all the places she traveled to when she returns from her solo backpacking adventures!
