Everyone already knows how much I love photographing wildlife. I love learning and watching how birds and animals live. However, it comes with disappointments sometimes. I am learning nature can be harsh, but there is a reason for it. Such is the case with the story below. I was so fortunate to capture these photos of the female about two weeks ago.
Journaling reads:
Unfortunately, it appears there weren’t any viable eggs this year in the nest on hole 14. The female seems to be here now all by herself, as we have not seen the male for about ten days. Hoping it was just an incompatibility thing and nothing has happened to him. So for this summer, she is footloose and fancy free; possibly looking for another mate.
