At summer's end, after the dock is down and the swimmers have gone back to school or work and most of the boats have been put away for the season we begin to see the ducks gather along the shore. Their presence contributes to the calm, peaceful beauty. Even though I miss having family around enjoying the lake, I try to remember to appreciate the quiet beauty of the lake in autumn and count my many blessings. TFL
