Journaling reads: Berlin in the summer of 2020. COVID-19 restrictions relaxed a bit and we took a weekend trip to Berlin. We hiked Teufelsberg- an old NSA listening post, got tattoos- the boys got matching best friend ones while I got a cornflower and lily of the valley to represent Germany and home. Then we stayed in a hostel near my favorite East Side Gallery made on the old wall. Thanks to social distancing and less crowds I also got amazing shots of my favorite art on the wall including ‘God help me to survive this Deadly Love’.
Teufelsberg was full of cool art on all of the buildings remaining. Unfortunately COVID’s social distancing meant that the old observation tower was closed to visitors.
My tattoo right after it was finished. Done by an apprentice it was only 40 euro but is now a lifetime reminder of one of my favorite places.
