Journaling: 1. Baby girl has recently begun crawling so she was super excited to be let loose on the sand. She grabbing fistfuls of sand and being doted on by her cousins, Aunty and Uncle and Nana and Pa! She eventually needed splash time in the water and spent a long time with Daddy kicking, splashing and squealing. The excitement, sun, splashing and yummy birthday cake had her all tuckered out and she slept the whole care ride home. She’s a beach baby just like her big brother.
2. It’s always a great day when we are celebrating family birthdays. It was xxxx turn today and the family headed up to spend the day at Caloundra. We haven’t been to this little spot before and it was lovely and calm for the kids to splash and make sandcastles. There was a great amount of space to fly the kites and play some footy after lunch. The kids all had such a wonderful time and we all got some much needed vitamin sea! We will be back for sure on another day trip!
3. As much as Linc loves the beach, he is going through a stage where he is scared of the water. He will splash at the water’s edge but we don’t push it. He is quite content to watch everyone while he runs laps up and down the sand. He loves playing in the sand, digging and searching for treasures. It is not a beach trip in this family if he doesn’t build a sandcastle with his Daddy! And it’s not a beach trip if we don’t bring home shells in the beach bag! Love it!
