April Story Scrapbook Challenge: So Long

Journalling reads:
For the last four years, I have taught a nature journalling class to our year 3s and 4s. I have been so impressed with
the quality of work these young people are able to produce. We have worked very hard at representing what we see and not what we think is there. It has been wonderful to spend time with them outdoors in the natural environment developing their observational and questioning skills and their abilities to present their observations in clear and interesting ways. They have used their journal entries as inspiration for art and writing projects and we have had enormous fun. This year timetabling constraints have seen the programme put on hold
and I doubt that it will be reinstated before I retire. I have been very sad to see it go.
