Journaling: As Halloween was never really celebrated when Dylan and I were kids (or even young adults - apart from boozy fancy dress parties) we never used to decorate. It has only really been in recent years that you could buy much in the way of decor! But I love to make it fun for the kids as they love Halloween. Poppy especially has loved it ever since we can remember. Linc doesn’t care for decorating (he LOVES to give out lollies to trick or treaters, though) So each year I have let Poppy pick out a few decorative pieces and we are slowly building up our stash. I let her decorate all around the front entry way but I can see this slowly taking over the living areas as the years go by. This year she wanted the sparkly pink pumpkin and the ‘death roses’ as she called them. Both kids also wanted these masks although Poppy has now declared the clown mask far too creepy to wear and Linc won’t even look at it!
