I was delighted to lift Julie (MaggieMae) this month, and chose this lovely page of hers (which was already a lift!):

It's a little ironic to be lifting a page about one of our snowiest days of the year on the hottest day of the year, but that's just how it worked out! :O It was 104 F at the hottest today (by my weather app), now down to high 90s. Ugh. Fortunately it was perfect last weekend when my dad and I enjoyed an afternoon together for Father's Day.

Journaling
Dad suggested a walk and lunch in La Conner for Father’s Day, which sounded just great to me. So many years since I’d been there! It was a beautiful day and crowded, but we enjoyed strolling along the waterfront, talking about times Dad had come through the Swinomish Channel. He and Jim Compton brought Ranger, Jim’s big tugboat, through there, to avoid going through Deception Pass, and they also brought it down to have it inspected before Jim bought it. That led to stories about their trips to Alaska, including the journey up on Ranger that Dad and Al took, where they met Jim, who flew in. There was another trip when Jim and Dad drove up, and then took the ferry back. Many adventures for the two of them, over the years. We had a nice late lunch at the Waterfront Cafe, and then drove back to Burlington where I got my car and came home.
