The ABCs of You, Me, and Us

This month, the challenge will feature the letters Q and R. As a reminder, each month we use two letters of the alphabet (3 in November and December) as the inspiration for a page about You (your spouse/partner, family member or special friend), Me (yourself),or Us (you and your spouse/partner/ family member/members, or friend/friends). You can create one page with either letter, one page using both letters, or an individual page for each letter. I have a list of words below that begins with Q and a list that begin with R, but feel free to go with any idea you come up with. Katie has provided a freebie for us to use. Of course using the freebie isn’t a requirement of participating in the challenge.

Q: quality, qualify, quaint, quest, queen, quiet, quilt, quiz/quizzical, quirky, quota, etc. You can also use the name of a country, city, location that begins with the letter Q.

R: rain/rainy/rainbow, record, relation, ring, rock and roll, romance/romantic, record,  remember, rose, etc. You can also use the name of a country, city, location that begins with the letter R.

Team members have created a variety of layouts — artsy, scenic, nature, and family history. Some of us are creating individual layouts for albums, others are putting together an entire ABC album. First up is this layout by creative team member, Shannon. It’s an artistic and gorgeous layout featuring a beautiful bride. I love how the bride’s train flows out over the letter Q.

Guest Creative Team Member, Emma (EmmaLeigh), chose an historical site for her page using the letter Q. I wasn’t aware of the history of this place, and I learned something new from her layout. Emma scraps in a different size — not square, and I love to see examples of different ways people scrap.

Guest Creative Team Member, Lynn (lynns54) created this stunning layout of a rose breasted grosbeak. Her photo and her design are amazing.

For her layout, Lynn used Garden Chronicles Transfers 01 and Garden Chronicles Ephemera, both of which will be arriving in the store today. Other supplies include Bird Song Ephemera, Botanical Notebook 01 Blendable Layers, Curators Meadow Papers 01, Edge Overlays 04, Loosely Scripted Sentiments Brushes and Stamps 03, Marlow Element Pack, and Partial Page Masks 04.

Creative Team Member, Rachael (myssp), created this artsy layout. Rachael is one of the CT members who’s an expert at layering elements. I learn a lot from her, and I imagine others do and can as well.

And, I, Valerie (nana_vg), made this page all about the history of typewriters and how they evolved into our computers, iPads, Iphones, etc.
