Template Mashup: Relax
Hi there! This is Merrilee (digigrandma) back with another Template MashupChallenge. Valerie, Sherry and Rachel are all three very experienced at mashing templates! After you see their designs using the Mashup Templates , I hope you will jump right in and create your own mashing for the challenge.
First, let’s introduce the templates we’ll mash:
For this challenge, start with a new blank page using the software you choose. Open up the templates and decide what parts of each you want to use for your design. Then click and drag the layers you want to your blank canvas. How you arrange the different photo frames and elements is up to you. Use as many or as few of the parts you want from each template. It’s also OK to add any additional items or papers to finish your design. I think you’ll find the design comes together quickly because you don’t have to hunt all through your digital stash to find what you need.
Let’s look at how Valerie, Rachel and Sherry used the templates.
Valerie, (nana_vg) liked the family word art included in LW 2176 which is perfect for her main photo showing lots of family gathered around a small campfire celebrating the 4th of July. What a well balanced design she created by adding extra photos of the fireworks and several well placed elements. Her background paper is from Cabana Whites Paper Pack.
Sherry (digi371) went with an outdoor adventure theme. I love how colorful her page is with the blues and yellows keeping it cheerful and upbeat! I love the beautiful waterfall photo with the closeups of the adventurers. The interesting background she created uses papers from Summer Porch Solid Paper Pack and From My Bookshelf Overlays 01.
Rachel (Rache77) wowed me with her vertical design going down the center of the page. A combination of circle and rectangle frames provides variety and those yellow flowers are perfect for a tropical look. Of course, I love the blue fish! Color Swatch Combo Ocean Breeze Paper Pack provided a perfect paper for the background.
Recently, my college age grandson hosted a reunion of his high school friends plus a couple college friends at our lake cabin this summer. I kept the page simple to keep the large photo of the whole group the central focus. My background paper is from Dreamy Paper Pack 07.
