Color Challenge: Sweet summer sunshine

Hi, and welcome to August’s Color challenge! Chrissy here with some sweet inspiration to get you scrapping.

It’s summer time for many of us, sunshine, warm air, cool refreshing drinks. Though obviously, being in Scotland it’s a mix of sunshine and showers here for the final weeks of the summer holidays before school goes back. I love this color combo, I’ve used it several times over the years for beach pages, pages with my daughter, pet pages and garden layouts. 

The creative team really stepped up to showcase this palette with these gorgeous pages. First up is Valerie (nana_vg) with this lovely page. That sunset is stunning, and I love the addition of the teal and green accents to really let the page pop! The film strip behind the photo is another nice touch.

Next up is Stacia with this sweet page about noticing the flowers. Planting bright perennials makes me happy every time I walk past them, and I love how Stacia scrapped this. So many layers and that title is so fun! The brushwork adds further depth.

Last but certainly not least is this great page by Rachel (Rache77). Oh I love the framing of the sweet photo, with its unique viewpoint. The added flowers are so cute and I love the use of the twists and beads to add further movement. Super sweet page.
