Template Mashup: Halloween Memories
Hi there, everyone! When I (Merr) think of Halloween I think of fun costumes, scary and not so spooky decorations and lots of sweets, so, I invite you to bring on your ideas for photos to use with these Halloween themed templates and join in on this Template Mashup!
The rules for the Template Mashup Challenge are simply to create a new scrapbook page using parts of both templates to create your own unique design. You may add any extra designs from your Katie Pertiet Designs stash or just use what is included in the templates. If the Halloween theme doesn’t intrigue you, you are welcome to change the theme to your choice. I could see using the frames and many of the layering parts of the templates for a non Halloween theme.
To get started, let’s look at some examples from the Creative Team!
For all you Harry Potter fans, here’s a magical page by Candy (aka cnewby). The clever photos stand out on the colorful page because they are black and white. Love that hanging spider!
Candy used Halloween Memories Paper Pack, Modern Vintage Simplicity Pack 01, October 31st Remnants 01, and Boo Border Layers 01 to complete her fantastic page.
And, who can resist a cute pup like Ellie dressed up in a costume? Cori has lots of fun with this pup of hers! A white background with texture makes the photos pop and I love that Cori found a place for her journal text because the story behind the photos is heartwarming to be sure!
Cori’s extra designs are papers from October 31st Solids Paper, Sacked Solids Paper Pack 02 and Vintage Artistry Wedgewood Solids Paper Pack.
I also went with the black and white 1/2 star and the torn paper and scalloped edging for my Mashup design. I had so much fun adding stars and swirly twisted lines and the Bingo card!
Metsa Solids Paper Pack and October 31st Paper Pack completed my page.
