Story Scrapbook Challenge : YOUR childhood memory

We set ourselves up busily creating pages of memories for our children, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, friends children, our best friends, our family.  And that’s great.  But what about US.  I had a thought the other day, it was one of my childhood memories that I hadn’t thought about in a really really long time.  Soon it will be forgotten.  Now is the time to create that page.

So I want you to create a page and tell a story about one of YOUR childhood memories.

Maybe it was a birthday party, a particular toy you played with, a day at school, an award you were presented, a best friend, your bedroom growing up, your favourite doll, your favourite TV show, a vacation you took as a child, memories of going camping, travelling on the school bus, going to the dentist, braces on your teeth, your first boyfriend, graduating from college, a childhood fashion, a childhood haircut, teen dances, a family photo and who was in it, where was it taken.

So many childhood memories.  Pick one.  You may not have a photograph and that’s okay.  But tell that story, something about YOUR childhood.

The creative team have jumped on board with some terrific example pages:

Firstly Valerie (nana_vg) has created a stunning page documenting how she was named.  Oh what’s in a name, that becomes a nickname, that becomes a treasure trove of nicknames.  I love the progression of how they all came to be.  What an awesome story.  Valerie this will be a treasured memory you’ve documented right here.

Then we have a page by Monica (mosbaskets) documenting the memory of her love of the old steam trains.  A beautiful memory she holds tight that came rushing back when she was holidaying Scotland and catching sight of a fabulous steam train once again.  Such a great story she has document.

And for my page (carollee) I decided to tell a story about a childhood friend, my Andy Pandy, which I still have today.
