Something Old, Something New

Hi friends, it’s Trace (tracermajig) here to welcome you to the first Something Old, Something New challenge of 2025!

I have pulled some great products to play with this month whether you are pocket scrapbooking or looking to make a regular page. This is what we are working with!
The old:

And the new:

As always, the only rule with this challenge is to use one of the old and new products on your page. You can use all four if you like, as well! Katie has provided a freebie to kick you off. If you have these element packs in your stash though, feel free to use anything from them.

Let’s see what the team have created!

Addie (AddieG) was inspired by the ‘today’s memories’ theme. I love how she captured her little garden helpers! Using the pocket card frame for a sub title and journaling spot was a great idea!
These are the products that Addie used: Curated Team Favorites Garden Kit, Field Guide Planning Printables 01, Fine Line Titles: Daily Brushes and Stamps, Pebbled Universal 02Pocket Cards Weekdays 05Taped Photo Collages 01

I just adore this big photo page that Stacia has made. The pocket card makes for a great frame for the smaller photo. And I love how she made the fine line title work for her layout!
This is what Stacia used to make her page: Day Out Solids Paper Pack, Fine Line Titles: Daily Brushes and Stamps, Messed Up Overlays 04, Page Fades Clipping Masks 01, Pocket Cards Weekdays 05

Jan (jmgesi) was inspired to use these products to document her week. I love how the pebbled universal symbols are perfect for pocket/weekly scrapbooking! They can help re-iterate your journaling or even to create your own pocket card.
This is what Jan used on her page: Classic Pooh: Friend Like You Element Pack, Classic Pooh: Friend Like You Paper Pack, Classic Pooh: Friend Like You Solids Paper Pack, Field Guide Planning Printables 01Fine Line Titles: Daily Brushes and StampsGrungy Ledger Grids 03, Pebbled Universal 02

I (tracermajig) wanted to record some everyday, here and now memories for my kids. I didn’t really have a plan going in with this page but once I started adding things, I couldn’t stop! The field guide planning printable worked great to ‘ground’ all of my elements.
