September Sketch Challenge

Good morning everyone, it’s Sharon here with a new Sketch challenge for you.

This one includes a slightly different use for hinges: holding down some postage word strips. I have always liked the ’empty frame’ effect and there’s room for a couple of photos and a tag for a line of journaling – or perhaps the date if you are making room for journaling elsewhere.

Four of my fellow creative team members were keen to make an example page for the blog – and I am struck by how different the pages are. I just love it when people take and idea and make it their own!!

First up we have this gorgeous “vintagey” page by Emma (Emma Leigh). I love her use of the new Garden Chronicles Transfers particularly!

Emma used:
Cambrianna Element Pack
Clipboard Memories Vol.3 Layered Template 05
Garden Chronicles Ephemera Pack
Garden Chronicles Ephemera Plus Pack
Garden Chronicles Solids Paper Pack
Garden Chronicles Transfers 01
Garden Chronicles Transfers 02
Hinge Pack
Inspiration Board Vol.08 Layered Template 04
Layer Works 1756
Layer Works 2434
Painted Plaids 04
Postage Strip Words 02

Next, we have this amazing layout from Shannon (shannonr). She has stuck fairly closely to the sketch, but her addition of that beautiful big matted photo ‘behind’ the photo cluster makes it look like an entirely different design.

Shannon used:

Garden Chronicles Scrapbook Bundle
Garden Chronicles Sentiment Stickers
Stitched Frame Clusters 02
Postage Strip Words 02
Hinge Pack 01
Cambrianna Element Pack

Thirdly we have this special page about one of Valerie’s (nana_vg) cuties! Notice that she has left off the small side cluster allowing room for a title and journaling.

Valerie used:

Garden Chronicles Ephemera
Garden Chronicles Ephemera Plus
Garden Chronicles Solids Paper Pack
Classic Curled Photo Frames 07
Curated Team Fav Mix In The Garden
Page Banners 01
Volunteer Lines Stamp Pack 01
Lightly Linens Paper Pack 03

Lastly we have one of Rachael’s (myssyp) characteristically stunning pages! Rachael has also stuck quite closely to the sketch using only one photo though – which allows space in the cluster for the ‘anywhere’ sticker. I love that she’s used the tied fastener strips from the Fresh Vintage: Clare Element Pack in place of the hinged strips.

Rachael used:

Garden Chronicles Ephemera
Garden Chronicles Ephemera Plus
Garden Chronicles Paper 01
Garden Chronicles Sentiment Stickers
Garden Chronicles Transfers 01
Garden Chronicles Transfers 02

Worth Repeating No 48
Curated Studio Mix 44
Vintage Artistry Anywhere Chipboard
Golden Pretty Element Pack
Fresh Vintage: Clare Element Pack
ARToptions Avesta Ephemera
Classic Frame Layers 01
Kaleidoscope Wishing Bubbles

What an illustration of how versatile Katie’s designs are! Four very different looking pages that all make extensive use of the same new Garden Chronicles Collection.

Katie has generously put together a freebie that contains all the “real” items from the sketch and you can download that HERE .

Our talented CT members will pop their pages in the SKETCH CHALLENGE GALLERY very soon, and we hope to have your page join them sometime this month too!

Don’t forget to add your 100% KPD product layout to the September Challenge Participation Thread to earn shopping rewards at the end of the month.

Happy Scrapping everyone!
