BRUSH IT UP CHALLENGE : Happy Birthday September peeps

Well here we are in September, a birthday month for a lot of people I know, it’s a popular month for birthdays.  Not to mention our dear Katie, and well my birthday was yesterday, yay!  I may still be eating cake.  So there was no doubt I was going with a birthday theme this month.

So for the September Brush it Up challenge : Happy birthday to us!

We’re using Sentiments Spots Brushes and Stamps No.15  this month.   This brush set is about birthdays, but it’s versatile as there’s the wordart for – ‘celebrating this year’, ‘this is the very best’, so good for a lot of different themed pages.  I’m interested to see what you come up with and hope you find something that will work for you and your art.

Katie has generously offered a discount code for half price of the pack to be added at the checkout KPD50SS15 and you have until the end of the month to use it (30 September 2026).

To be part of the challenge you have to use one or more of the items from the Sentiments Spots Brushes and Stamps No.15  pack.  It contains both stamps and the .abr file to use any way you want, get inventive!

The creative team have eagerly jumped on board with some terrific example pages and I’m loving what they’ve done:

Firstly Linda (earlofoxford) has used one of the three frames to feature three of the sentiments to sum up a fab birthday page.  Great idea if you’re using a template and have a spare spot to feature wordart like this.

Supplies Linda has used:  Sentiment Spots Brushes and Stamps 15,  Chippy Foundations Paper Pack 16,  Party Pennant Sticks,  Clipped Grid Photo Frames 04,  Drop Shadow Styles 02.

Next up we have the fabulous Stacia, always up for a challenge.  She’s used the ‘very best’ brush as a stamp and there’s not a birthday in sight.  See what I mean about it being a versatile set.   Just adds a little extra something, and the stamp shape mirrors the bubble the children are playing in.

Supplies Stacia has used:  Sentiment Spots Brushes and Stamps 15, Spill Frame Page Layered Template 07,  Hand Drawn Bubbles 01,  Spring Bouquet Solids Paper Pack.

One of our new Guest CT members Emma Leigh has use one of the brushes on repeat and adding the postage stamps does make you think of a postmark.    I also like how she has randomly stamped with some over the other.  A fun use of the sentiment.

Supplies Emma Leigh has used:  Sentiment Spots Brushes and Stamps 15,  Graphed Notebook Paper Pack No.7,  Garden Chronicles Ephemera,  Garden Chronicles Ephemera Plus Pack,  Garden Chronicles Transfers 01,  Garden Chronicles Transfers 02,  Clipboard Memories Vol.3 Layered Template 05,  Clipboard Memories Layered Template 08,  Clipped Journal Layers 02,  Creators Workspace Vol. 02 Layered Template 02  and more.

And lastly for my page (carollee) I have used the brush stamped onto the page almost as a title.  Celebrating my brother’s birthday, just the two of us out for a lunch.  The white brush worked well on the grey paper I think.

Supplies that I have used: Sentiment Spots Brushes and Stamps 15,  Brushstroke Photo Masks 08,  Garden Chronicles Sentiment Stickers,  Krafted Cardstocks Paper Pack 03,  Photo Clusters 56,  Spill Frame Layers 21,  Twisted Dots 01,  Ledger Grids 04 Brushes and Stamps,  Flair Minis 01.

So, how are you going to use your sentiment spots brushes?

Now remember to post your pages in the Brush it Up Challenge Gallery and don’t forget when you use ALL KPD product on your challenge page you should post a link of your page in the September 2026 Challenge Participation thread so that it will count toward your savings in the rewards program.  Everyone’s a winner.
