Saturday Scraplift: Focus on the Corner

I’m always on the lookout for interesting and eye-catching designs, and that’s exactly what I found in Lori’s (lmaggs) delightful page. She did it for a template mash-up but totally made it her own. I love how she created a focal point in the corner of her design with horizontal and vertical lines. Then she reinforced her theme with another photo clipped to a mask. Such a terrific page! Several of my fellow Creative Team members had fun lifting Lori’s page. Ready, set, go for inspiration!

Lori’s page:

Shannon (shannonroller) did a great job of transporting us to this gorgeous area with photos from her son’s recent hike. Katie’s Vintage Artistry Hike Kit is the perfect choice to extend the outdoor theme. I like that she chose the waterfall photo to clip to a mask and the photo of her son as her focus.

Who knew Addie (agoymerac) was a fisherwoman?? She looks mighty proud of that prize catch, and so does Mazie! I love her choice of various blues and greens to reinforce the watery element, and the addition of acrylic bubbles and sequins is perfect.

Julie (MaggieMae) chose to work with one of the templates that Lori used to highlight two cute photos of her neighbor’s cat Boomer. On a mostly black and white page – dictated by Boomer’s coloring – I really like how she brought in the green from the grassy background of her photos.

Monica (mosbaskets) takes us to the seashore in her tranquil page. What a peaceful place for a morning walk, and she did a superb job of choosing soft blues and oranges to underscore that idea. I love the visual triangle she created with her photos of those beach birds – maybe sand cranes?
