Saturday Scraplift: Boldly Fall

Hi.  Shannon (shannonroller) here with the Saturday Scraplift inspiration for this week.  We will be lifting this gorgeous layout by Lynn (lynns54).  Autumn is my favorite season and while I don’t live in a part of the country that gets a lot of color, I love seeing photos from those folks that do.  I especially loved the Partial Page Mask that she used with the lacy and leafy edges to it.

The creative team has been inspired by Lynn’s layout and have come up with some additional inspiration for you.

First up guest creative team member, Stacia, scrapped this great photo of her son gazing out onto the Pacific Ocean.  Love the use of the map border, bokeh and beach elements to finish off her page.

Liz (lizziet5) also took the inspiration to create a beach page.  The colors of her layout work so well with that terrific photo.  I also love the dotted border edging she used to really highlight the photo.

I used a similar Partial Page Mask to the one Lynn used to create this page of a cathedral I visited in Scotland recently.  I also wanted to give the photo the look of an old time postcard by blending it with the textured/woven paper.  It is amazing to me how these buildings that were created over 800 years ago still exist today.

I hope that Lynn’s page or the ones from the creative team will help you create a page of your own for the challenge.  To get credit for a coupon to use in the KPD store, be sure to post your layout to the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and the October Challenge Participation Thread.

Have a great weekend and I hope you will join us in this week’s lift.
