Saturday Scraplift: Bits and Baubles

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I (wendymck) am coming to you from the frozen Midwest. It’s the perfect time to stay inside, enjoy your favorite hot beverage and, if all your Christmas chores are done, maybe scrap a page! I decided to celebrate the holidays with this page by Melanie (Britgirl) of her adorable sidekicks. I loved all the little pieces of ephemera and details that she used and how she must’ve surfed through all her Christmas and winter kits to find them (check out the supply list!)

As always, I had wonderful volunteers who stepped up to show you their take on this page. Up first is Addie (agoyermac) with this delightful girlfriend page. Love all the things she used to add dimension and interest to her design.

Julie (MaggieMae) kept with a winter theme, but went with these amazing from her childhood to tell a family tradition story. And although not pictured, she does make sure her beloved dog Smokey is in the story. I love the pop of red from the berries.

Valerie (nana_vg) used a Layer Works as her starting off point. As Kayleigh is known for her layering and use of bits and baubles, this is a perfect way to get lots of great details easily. Then she just added a bit and swapped the single photos for 2 and you’ve got a great Santa page!

Finally, here’s my page. I kept with Mel’s background coloring as my photo was dark and not only did that lighten the page but the blue also gives the impression of how cold we were! I also enjoyed going through all kinds of Christmas and winter kits to find my bits and baubles. šŸ™‚
