Let’s Blend Challenge

Hello, Joanne (jcaruth910) here with September’s Let’s Blend Challenge. Partial Page Blends and Hand Drawn Film Frames are on the menu for this month. Partial Page Blends can add so much to a page; from using it as a blended background to clipping your photo to it to make a big statement. Hand Drawn Film Frames can be used just as a brush, a frame or a fun accent. Here are a few examples from our very talented Creative Team:

Stacia created a wonderful page by clipping her large photo to the mask and then adding the Hand Drawn Film frames on top with photos clipped to them to tell here story. Here are the products she used: Hand Drawn Film Frames 03,  Partial Page Masks 05 (freebie),  Fresh Vintage: Asha Solids Paper Pack

Lori Ann created an adorable page by clipping a paper to the Hand Drawn Film Frame (very creative) and then used the mask as her background.  Here are the products she used: Arctic Whites Paper Pack 02, ARToptions Krafty Paper Pack 01, Anzio Solids Paper Pack (recolored), Artsy Blend Layers Leaves 06, Assorted Messy Stitches: White 03, Partial Page Masks 07, Hand Drawn Film Frames 03, Readymade Layers: Neutral Borders 05, Watery Foliage 40

For my page, I clipped the entire photo of this sassy little elk calf from this summer. I used the Hand Drawn Film Frames in a cluster to the right of the photo.  Here are the products I used: Partial Page Masks No. 5, Frosted Christmas Solids paper Pack, Fine Line Scribbles Brushes and Stamps, Blendable Layers No. 6, Hand Drawn Film Frames No. 3, Every Little Thing Brushes and stamps

These three examples should get your creative juices flowing, and Katie has provided us with a wonderful freebie pack.  A big thank you to Stacia and Lori Ann for their wonderful layouts. Please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the September Challenge Participation Thread, to earn store rewards.

I hope you can join in on this month’s challenge. I look forward to seeing your work in the Gallery.

Joanne
