Let’s Blend Challenge – Artsy Layered Paints

Hi, Joanne (jcaruth910) bringing you this month’s Let’s Challenge. Artsy Layered Paints come in jpg and psd forms, and are a versatile and easy mask to work with. It can be used as is, or each layer can be turned on and off. So you can use as any of them as you wish. I have used just one of the paint layers by itself in a layout before as well.
I was pretty organized this month, and was able to get a few of our Creative Team members to give us some examples of how they used the mask(s).
First up was Lynn (lynns54), flipped the mask, and clipped her photo to the top layer. A wonderful beachy element was added and a title to finish off her lovely page.
In addition to the freebie she used the following products: Arctic Whites No. 2, Layer Works No. 1725, Vintage Artistry Beached Ephemera, Vintage Seas 12×12 Blendable layers Overlay.
Brenda (bbe), added a cool photo treatment to her photo, which created great texture as well.
In addition to the freebie, she used the following products: Vintage Artistry Sunburst Ephemera Plus Pack, Ready Made Layers: Collage Clusters No. 5, Beached ARToptions paper pack, Vintage Artistry Sunburst Page Layers No. 4
Candy (cnewby), added texture and a drop shadow to the layers to create dimension. Her element choices coordinate perfectly with her photo.
Fairmont Solids Paper Pack, Jungle Stories Blendable Layers, Del Mar Shores Element Pack, South Beach Element pack, ARTpack Lace Brushes and Stamps, Watery Wings and Branches Sentiment Pack, Ready made Beach Clusters Brushes and Stamps, Laced Edgers No. 3, Border Stamps and Layers No.5
For my layout, I added a frame and clipped my photo to a couple of the top layers, and added a sequin scatter in place of the paint splatter.
Here are the products I used in addition to the freebie: Vintage Artistry Wedgewood Solids, Vintage Artistry Ephemera, Rimmed Framers, Layered Inky Frames, Arctic Frost Element Pack, Ledger Words Stamp Pack 6,
A big thank you to Lynn, Brenda and Candy for their wonderful layouts. Katie has given us a wonderful Freebie Pack, and as always, please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the July Challenge Participation Thread, to earn store rewards.
I hope you can join in on this month’s challenge. I look forward to seeing your work in the Gallery.
