iTunes Challenge: November
Welcome back to another iTunes challenge, friends! I hope we can inspire you to join in the fun!
I (Trace) was lost for ideas this month until I saw this album cover. I loved the peek-a-boo photo with the clean, simple design and ample white space. A fun fact about me is that even though I am a very messy and layer heavy scrapbooker, I am actually quite drawn to graphic, clean and simple designs. I’m just not very good at making them! HA! So as much as I loved this album cover, I knew it would be a challenge! But that’s why we are here, right?
Katie has provided a freebie to kick start your mojo and I hope you can play along!
Rae (bcgal00) created such an eye catching page! I love the look of the cut out photo on the patterned paper background! The simple embellishments and title ensure the emphasis stays on that sweet photo.
Rae used these products to create her page: Artsy Stars Brushes and Stamps 01, Border Stamps and Layers 05, Cadmium Gardens Scrapbook Kit, Painted Window Frame Layers 05, Title Lines Brushes and Stamps 21
How stunning is Kathy’s (Blackkathy) page? I love the clever title work and the overall cozy feel of her page! The added embellishments are the perfect finishing touch!
These are the products that Kathy used: Frosted Winter Elements, Miriam Solids, Rustique Noel Elements
I just love Carol’s (oldbag165) page! Once again, this is a great design for keeping the focus on the photo but her extraction of the hummingbird takes it to another level. I also love how the diagonal design draws your eye across the photo and down to the title and journaling.
Carol used these products to create her page: Color Swatch Peach Remnants, Painted Window Frame Layers 05, Title Lines Brushes and Stamps 21, Vintage Artistry Hike Solids, Vintage Artistry Sage Chipboard
Stacia’s design is a great way to include a lot of journaling on your page! I love how she continued the diagonal design with the paper pieces in the corners. The black and white is also very striking!
These are the products Stacia used: Layer Works 1794, Offset Alphabet 01, Painted Window Frame Layers 05
I (tracermajig) discovered something with this challenge. This kind of design lends well to photos that might not be great quality. This was a photo I took some years ago on an older model phone. It was blurry and a bit pixelated but I loved the colours it captured in this sunset. Clipping it to the photo mask like this hides some of those imperfections and I got to use it for the colours that I love. I tried my hardest to stay clean and simple but I couldn’t help myself in the end!
These are the products that I used: Arctic Whites Paper Pack 04, ARToptions Spice Chipboard Bits, ARToptions Spice Chipboard Words, ARToptions Spice Ephemera, ARToptions Spice Ephemera Plus Pack, ARToptions Spice Mixed Media Leaves, ARToptions Spice Page Layers 04, ARToptions Spice Wishing Bubbles, Frame and Blend Story Vol. 06 Layered Template 02, Photo Cuts Masks 05, Scrap Layers 60, Scribbled Overlays 04
Don’t forget to upload your page to the iTunes Inspiration gallery and also update the November Challenges Participation Sign In thread to earn your store rewards. I will see you again next month with some festive inspiration!
