iTunes Challenge: August

Hi everyone, it’s Trace (tracermajig) back once again hoping to inspire you with another iTunes Cover Challenge! 

Can you believe August is fast coming to an end? I know it is back to school time for our friends in the Northern Hemisphere, so I wanted to find some inspiration to tie in with that. Although as with every challenge, I think you could use this inspiration to scrap any kind of genre! 

Katie has provided a freebie to help get you started but it is not necessary to use it for this challenge. 

The team all stuck with the school theme for our pages but I love how we all took our design in different directions! 

Jill (jbhansen) used the album cover to scrap this wonderful back to school photo! I love how that big photo takes centre stage on her layout! I also like how she drew inspiration from the handwritten elements on the album cover to include her journaling and date but added her own touch with the additional clusters of school elements.

Addie (agoymerac) was inspired to scrap these wonderful football game photos taken by the school Principal. I love how she pulled inspiration from the taped edge on the album cover to frame her layout. Also, take a look at the subtle blending she did with the stars in her background. It’s a small detail but I think it makes a great impact!

I (tracermajig) was inspired by the retro feel of the album cover. It reminded me so much of my school days in the 80’s! I have these great photos of my partner from his pre-school days and I went from there. I think the worn edge templates work so well with the older photos!
