Hybrid Journaling

Hello everyone! Kathy (blackkathy) here sharing my love for digitals and papers and showing how you can do both in your journals. The page on the left is completely digital and then printed out on everyday copy paper. I want to keep this journal from becoming too bulky otherwise I would have printed it on presentation paper and the photo would have come out a lot better. As I am just wanting to document my newest grandbaby’s first Easter, that is okay with me. I created the right side with papers printed from the same digital kit, again, using regular copy paper but using the presentation paper for the tag that has Jett James’ photo on it. Underneath that is an Easter Card that my daughter created for my husband and I and I wanted to incorporate it in the journal page. I glued it the top of the journal and then added the rest on top.

I inked around the edges of the journal page and then folded the card and glued the back down. I added papers on top for the background to the pocket. I then created a pocket for the tag and envelope. I used an envelope that had arrived in the mail and covered it with coordinated papers that came with the kit.

Here is the completed envelope and tag.

Here is my journal all completed. For those of us who like instant gratification, the entire process took but a few hours, three at the most which includes all the printing and cutting. The supplies I used were: Spring Meadows Scrapbooking Kit, Spring Meadows Add On, Easter Freebie from Katie on Blog, Kraft Blues 6×8 Spiral Journal

I hope you can join me and create something for your journal that is both digital and paper. I love creating with both and hope you will as well. Please upload your creations to the Journal Challenge and make you sure you make mention of it in the Challenges and Rewards Program under the April Challenge Participation Forum for your credit.
