Color Challenge: Summer Rainbow
Hi! Shannon (shannonroller) and Erin (Ernie88) here to host this month’s Color Challenge.
When Erin thinks of June, she thinks of the start of summer. The onset of warmer days with lots of sunshine, pools opening, ice cream, popsicles, lots of colorful flowers in bloom, strawberry season. In short, a whole array of colors.
Katie’s recent release of the Spectrum Sherbet Collection is perfect for scrapping these summertime colors but there are plenty of other rainbow themed products in the store that can be used for this challenge.
The Creative Team jumped in with these examples to give you a jumping point for how they decided to use this month’s challenge colors in their layouts.
First up is one of our Guest Creative Team members, Beth (bred1269), with this creative design to feature her adorable grandchildren. I love how she used that beautiful paper with all the colors behind the heart cutouts.

Addie (agoymerac) did this layout of her nieces on a Spring Break trip to California. The background she created is so perfect to go with the strips in her niece’s sweater. And love the addition of the arrow borders.

Erin (ernie88) used a rainbow colored template from the store as her jumping point and then added her own creative background border. Love all that splash of color to go with that adorable beach photo.

Here is mine (shannonroller). My son has recently started going to running club meetups to get into shape and meet new people. The colorful array of the running attire really lent itself to using this color palette for my layout.
