Autumn Comes Knocking

Hello, everyone! Rachael here, welcoming you to our November Color Challenge, “Autumn Comes Knocking!”

This month, we’re embracing a beautiful blend of warm autumn tones, cozy textures, and creative possibilities! Our November color palette features rich burnt orange, golden mustard, earthy neutrals, soft grays, and touches of deep charcoal. It’s the perfect combination for capturing those special fall memories, but don’t feel limited to autumn-themed pages! Whether you’re documenting everyday moments, family memories, or something completely unexpected, we can’t wait to see how you bring these colors to life in your own creative way.

Check out the gorgeous layouts our talented Creative Team members have created to inspire your creativity.

Creative Team Member Penny (Pennyh): Sometimes the simplest moments make the most beautiful memories! This lovely autumn-inspired layout captures the brilliant colors of fall with a peaceful woodland photograph surrounded by soft, weathered textures and delicate botanical details. The warm golden tones, subtle grays, and touches of earthy brown create a beautifully understated background, allowing the vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows in the photo to take center stage. The title, “Time Stood Still,” adds the perfect finishing touch to this serene page.

Creative Team Member Shannon (shannonr): This adventurous layout is all about chasing dreams and reaching new heights! Weathered textures, vintage aircraft imagery, and layered photographs create a bold, masculine feel. Soft blues, warm oranges, and earthy neutrals complement the November palette beautifully, while the inspiring word art, “Dream Big,” captures the spirit of the page perfectly.

Jheri’s (Jheri) layout: Everyday moments can be just as memorable as the big occasions! This beautiful layout captures a stunning morning sunrise, reminding us to appreciate the little things in life. Layers of weathered papers, autumn leaves, delicate stitching, and scattered golden accents create a wonderful sense of texture and dimension. The warm orange tones in the photograph tie everything together beautifully, while the “Today’s Snapshot” title and little word strips celebrate the beauty found in an ordinary day.

Creative Team Member Candy (Cnewby) reminds us that autumn is a season filled with little moments worth remembering! Her gorgeous collage-style layout, titled “Colors of the Season,” beautifully captures the sights, flavors, and simple pleasures of fall. A wonderful collection of photographs, from colorful woodland scenes and pumpkins to cozy treats and treasured memories, tells the story of the season. Layers of vintage ephemera, distressed textures, and delicate autumn embellishments bring everything together, while the rich oranges, warm browns, and earthy neutrals complement November’s color palette perfectly!

Candy used the following:  Layer Works 2665, Layer Works 2663, Vintage Artistry Natural Paper Pack, Fall Stories Transfers, Carte Post Element Pack, Messy Stamped Circles Brushes and Stamps 01

For my layout this month, I (myssp) chose a favorite photo of my darling granddaughter. I had a little fun mixing layers, textures, and embellishments to bring this gorgeous palette together. Starting with a black-and-white photo allowed the warm oranges, muted grays, and earthy tones to really stand out. A combination of patterned papers, dimensional elements, florals, and vintage-inspired touches added depth and interest, while the oversized wooden numbers and handwritten title brought everything together. I especially love how the pops of orange add just the right amount of warmth against the softer neutral background!

My supply list includes: PrinterTrayLettersandNumbers04 – Coming Soon, ReadymadeLayers_FallEdgers09 – Coming Soon, Textured Whites Paper Pack 01, October Woods Scrapbooking Bundle, ARToptions Spice Ephemera, Spectrum | Sherbet Strawberry Lemonade Botanicals, Spectrum | Gardenia Ephemera Plus Pack, Color Essentials Ribbons and More Bundle 01, Classic Frame Layers 01, Moonlit Garden Wildflower Ephemera, Golden Pretty Element Pack, Watercolor Page Titles 26
